Configurator

Put your garage door together and send us an enquiry

Five steps, a few minutes. The options come from the current range of the manufacturer. The configurator gives no prices - an advisor prepares the quote after checking the dimensions.

Opening dimensions and how it opens

Give the size of the opening in the wall, not of the door itself. An authorised partner takes the exact measurements.

How it opens

Garage door configurator - what you decide and what an advisor picks

The configurator walks through the decisions you have to make anyway: construction, size, finish and equipment.

You start with the model, because everything else follows from it: a sectional door needs room under the ceiling, a roller door winds onto a shaft above the opening, a side-hinged door swings outwards. Then you give the size of the opening in the wall - not of the door - and the height of the lintel. Those numbers decide whether a construction fits at all, which is why the configurator checks them against the manufacturer ranges and says so when a size falls outside the standard.

The next step is the look: panel embossing, surface texture, colour and decorative appliqués. The options come straight from the manufacturer catalogue, so what you see can be ordered. The preview shows the chosen embossing and colour on the whole leaf - a shade on screen can mislead, which is why we show the sample book before you order. Finally the equipment: how it opens, the make of drive, a wicket door, glazing, ventilation grilles, remotes and photocells.

The configurator gives no prices and is not an order. An advisor prepares the quote after checking the dimensions, because with a made-to-measure product the price depends on things a form cannot see: the state of the opening, access to the installation point, whether power has to be brought in. Filling it in takes a few minutes and commits you to nothing - the point is that the enquiry reaches us with everything settled, rather than as the question "how much is a door".

Before you start

Measure the opening in the wall
The width and height of the opening, not of the door. An authorised partner takes a check measurement before production.
Check the lintel
The height above the opening decides whether a sectional door fits. With a low lintel a roller door is left.
Decide about the drive
If you are not sure, pick "not sure" - an advisor will match the drive to the leaf weight and the way it will be used.
Note anything unusual
A sloping lintel, a column beside the opening, no power in the garage. It is usually those details that change the solution.
